22. June 2015

We haven’t quite recovered yet from yesterday’s dismantling day, but we look back on a wonderful and cool week full of beer beer beer, great bands, lovely people and simply a lot of fun! For sure, the weather god could have been a bit more generous with us but we are so happy for all the people who found their way (many times!) to our BRLO pop-up beergarden even in the rain!

But what was this beergarden all about? On the occasion of the first “Berlin Beer Week” from June 13 until June 20, 2015 we have established a one week pop-up beergarden next to Platoon Kunsthalle at Schönhauser Allee. We offered all three BRLO types from tab: Helles, Pale Ale and Porter and had two delicious guest beers: the Lemon Grass Infused Ale of the Bierfabrik as well as the Berlin Beer Week Collaboration Ale. The decision on which beer to drink was not always easy, that’s why a lot of people (including us) ended up drinking all types – that was the only solution.

Further, the entire beergarden set-up was made and decorated by ourselves (we will never forget painting and branding so many tables and benches not to mention hanging all the lampions), we had a funny game called Cornhole which got more difficult by every additional beer you had, and we had of course a great culinary offer from various food trucks (special thanks to Hirsch & Eber, BUNS MOBILE and Leibhaftig).

In the evenings, we had various music acts and DJs. A highlight was of course the band BETTY from New York as well as the ending concert with St. Beaufort from Berlin.

We thank all wonderful visitors, Platoon Kunsthalle, the Berlin Beer Week team, our food trucks, bands, DJs and everyone who supported us in this fantastic week!!!
