BRLO Art Edition #3 – Things Fall Apart
A tale of a failed society, colonialism, cannibalism and death, “The Raft of The Medusa” shook the 1800s and has since been considered to be an an icon of Romanticism. Which is why when we got the chance to work with the inimitable Emeka Ogboh on a beer inspired by the colors of the painting, we decided to do it big… Like 8.8% big – an Amber Ale brewed brewed with Sorghum, French hops and wood chips – a dangerously delicious boat of ingredients also inspired from the painting. And it’s now available for viewing/drinking at “WHAT BEAUTY IS, I KNOW NOT”, a group exhibition by Kasper König at König Galerie. So head on over to Emeka Ogboh’s vending machine, throw in all your money (it’s art, after all – so an investment… of sorts) and enjoy a bit of history, of scandal, of innovation, of beauty and a brand new beer.
There will also be a BRLO Pop-Up Beer Garden in front of the König Gallery on the 12th of September.
